Geoff Malan has felt a calling of the deepest kind to the people fo India for many, many years, and yet, he has lived in South Africa for the past 30 years. He studied in Australia and then moved back to his native S.A and joined the satff at Africa school of missions in white river. Later he would become the principal of A.S.M and be so for 20 years. The call of God came again to Geoff and his wife Karen, in late 2007 and by the end of the year, they had decided to follow that call and make the life changing move to INDIA a reality. Their Daughters, Abigail and Bethany as well as adopted son, Daniel, felt the call too. Geoff recalls:- "I remember setting the vision of 'Mission:INDIA' before the girls. At first there were mixed responses. They agreed to pray. Pray they did, and within days, the Lord had confirmed it in their hearts...India was the place to be!" And so that's where they headed.
Geoff is heading up all sorts of braches of 'Mission:INDIA'. His heart is for the people of India, yes, But he also has a passion for missionaries Worldwide. In his time as principal of A.S.M, he has witnessed many field missionaries at the end of their resources and strength. He has found them many times discouraged and ready to quit. Geoff longs to minister more to these good people as he has done for many years around the World.
Karen Malan has a very different mission in mind...at least when it comes to the people of India anyway, that's because her primary focus is children. More specifically, orphaned children. Karen successfully pioneered a revolutionary orphan scheme in South Africa, which is being used as a model in India. She gives her life to children and will continue to do so whilst there are children suffering.
