Dear Friends.
Shalom from the beautiful land of India! This has been a busy year and we can hardly believe that we are already into the month of April. We take this opportunity to give you a brief update.
We had to go to South Africa in December to acquire identity documents and new passports but unfortunately we were not able to get the documents before returning to India. Although three of the passports we due to expire shortly after our return, miraculously we got back in India with NO problems: We serve a faithful God!
Abigail, Bethany and Daniel are all thoroughly enjoying Hebron School and they each have a wonderful circle of friends. We are so thankful to the Lord for the way the children have settled into life in India, as it is SO different to what they were accustomed to.
Karen has been helping out at the Hebron School's Early Learning Centre once a week. She is also being kept exceptionally busy with the hospitality we are offering to missionaries here in Ooty and from other places of the world. The "missionary care" component of our ministry is really taking off and it is such a blessing for us to minister to missionaries.
Geoff has been busy with Leadership and Pastoral training. He has taught in Faith Sparkle Bible School in Coimbatore and in March spoke at their graduation ceremony. He has been back in Chennai teaching at the AFM Bible School. Leadership training has entailed extensive travelling for Geoff in Southern India. One highlight was a Pastors Conference in Tenali, where Geoff ministered with a team from South Africa, lead by Pastor Michiel and Betsie Erasmus, training MIC Pastors. There have also been many opportunity to minister in Churches locally and at the Youth Fellowship at Hebron.
Please stand with us in prayer as we trust the Lord for a vehicle, at this stage we are totally reliant on public transport which can be challenging. Pray for Karen as she pursues strategic involvement in
ministry with HIV/AIDS orphans. We have developed many friendships, pray for open hearts as we share the gospel. In particular please pray for Umish, a devout Hindu, who is searching for truth-pray for his salvation.
We count it a great privilege to serve the Lord in the beautiful land of India and our desire is to see the Name of Jesus made GREAT in this nation. Thank you for your prayers, support and partnership with us as we serve the Lord here.
